No matter how nice we try to put things, there is no denying that life is a battle. Everyday is a struggle.
However, with every struggle is a blessing. We are blessed to be alive and given the chance to make changes everyday.
People say, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that.
Hi, My name is Nadrah and this is my story.
I'm a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a cousin, a friend, a wife and a mother but most of all, I will always be a little girl at heart.
This blog is about my life and how I try to live it to the fullest while keeping it well balanced.

Sarah's Farewell Dindin at Sate Kajang Hj Samuri Putrajaya

Sarah's leaving HP to pursue a different career. So, the Quality and Training team a.k.a. SDEX GSD decided to organize a small gathering at the Sate Kajang Hj Samuri. Initially, we thought of going to the one located in Dengkil but Rangga (an indonesian colleague) told us that they have a branch in Putrajaya. We were all shocked considering that we, Malaysians don't even know of the place. Embarrassing, right? Anyway, we all decided to convoy after work. A total of 6 cars to be exact. However, considering the amount of traffic light in Putrajaya, convoy is not exactly a great idea. Believe it or not, we has to make a few stops. There was even a point when one of the colleague even got lost and we had to make a stop in between the government officer's buildings.

Super Hot Weather in Putrajaya
Convoyed cars all lined up.

After awhile, we finally made it at the Taman Warisan Pertanian, Putrajaya. There's a some sort of a fourt court with a wide variety of food. The shop is located there.

Rangga's super shocked look when he found out the price of Lamb Satay is twice the price of Beef Satay.
It wasn't till 7.45pm when everyone started heading back home. We were all very tired but our tummies were very full and HAPPY (with a huge Grin).

Hope Sarah enjoyed herself too and like the present we got her. Since she likes perfume, we got her a 100ml Ralph Lauren Big Pony Perfume in Purple.

October Origin

Last month, Tira and I were in the mood of online shopping. She introduced me to 2 websites and they are Doublewoot and October Origin. I surveyed both websites and my eyes were pretty much locked to October Origin's selection. Their reviews were mostly very good. They were saying about the quality and how the items sold are very flattering. I was pretty hesitant at first but my hopes were still there. I spent day after day looking and their website. Checking in items into the cart and removing them. I even got my colleague to look at the site. Finally, I made up my mind to purchase a bag and a pair of velour tracksuit. My colleague, Sarah too bought a bag. Do bear in mind that the business run by this site is a pre-order business. You will need to check on the schedule chart first before making purchase.

When we checked the schedule, according to the date of purchase, our time should arrived some time in the mid of May. Imagine how excited I was to find an e-mail in my mailbox stating that the items were couriered to PosLaju last Friday. Since Saturday was Wesak day, the items arrived today.

PosLaju Package. The items were packed individually and carefully so that it won't get spoilt during the delivery.
My Awesome Pow-some Tracksuit in Forest Green! Feels almost like Juicy Couture for the price of RM115. Super comfy snuggly fit and figure flattering.

My It's Mine Satchel at the price of RM119 in Grey. Super good quality PVC. Feels almost like leather with a lot of compartments. If I have extra moo-lah, my next aim is the suede in purple.
Thanks to October Origin, I'm definitely going to sleep with a smile plastered on my face tonight! I'll prolly be checking in and removing items in my cart before I sleep. We'll see what I'll check out end of the month! :p

Saree Shopping Part 2

When my other bestie saw the sarees Tira and I got at Little India, Klang, she too got excited. We were supposed to head to Jalan TAR and visit my colleague, Sashi's friend to have our saree top made. Unfortunately, there was a change of plans. Sashi's friend was not around. Since time was running out, we decided to head there ourselves and do a little shopping. We left the house as early as 9am to avoid traffic. The shops at Masjid India a.k.a. Jalan TAR does not open as early as the shops at Little India, Klang. To buy time, we first had breakfast at Station Kopitiam. FYI, there's only one kind of breakfast set which cost rm5.90 each. The breakfast set comes with 2 half boiled eggs, toast and a selection of either coffee or tea.
Tira and I cracking our half boiled eggs.
Aaina enjoying her toast.
We then headed to a few stores to look for sarees for Aaina. I would say the for saree shopping, Little India is better. Of course, there are cheaper selections here but for quality and reasonable price, Little India is better. After that, we headed to Semua House. My cousin recommended this shop called TBC for indian jewelries. Now, please take note of one important thing. When it comes to shopping for Indian jewelries, it is important to bring along your saree so that you will get to buy the exact sort of bangles that will match your saree. We were then recommended by the sales person to go to this tailor called the VKS tailoring services. A standard saree top tailoring fee is RM35.
At VKS. Check out the amount of clothes behind me!
Aaina and Tira at VKS
After visiting the tailor, we headed for Ibrahamshaa for their famous Nasi Kandar Penang. We had to walk a little to go to the shop. Walking is good to prepare for the food we were about the stuff our face with. :p
Aaina with her Nasi Kandar and Ayam Goreng.
I had Nasi Kandar with Ikan Goreng and Sotong Kari + Kuah Campur whilst Tira had Nasi Kandar with Sotong Kari, Caviar and Omelette.
Yummy right?
10 minutes later..... we practically cleaned our plates. LICIN!
On our way back to the car, we walk pass their so called market. There were a lot of good bargains there. Aaina got crazy with the English cotton sold there!
Super excited Aaina!
She's going crazy and can't make up her mind!
We then drop buy the malay costume jewelry shop to shop for the small tudung pins. RM10 for 12 pieces! Good bargain right? The is however other shops that sells RM10 for 13 or 14 but we chose the shop with the widest selection.
Tira checking out the pins.
In the car, Aaina tried some of the jewelry pieces she got.
The chained nose ring.
Nose ring plus the earring.
Anyway, our tops will be ready next week on Sunday, 13th May. We'll be heading there again then. For the mean time, we're keeping our fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Must Watch Movies This Month!

1. Dark Shadows in Cinemas on the 10th of May 2012
Synopsis: In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet-or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy...until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles. Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth's ne'er-do-well brother, Roger Collins, (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis, played by Jackie Earle Haley, and David's new nanny, Victoria Winters, played by Bella Heathcote.

A day out in Hijab

One of the requirement for marriage application is a picture wearing the hijab. This picture will also be used for the marriage registration card. So, i tried my very best to pimp out the hijab look. Unfortunately, my attempt failed. My picture turned out ugly. LoL! It's not because i'm ugly. It's just because i'm not photogenic. (full denial mode on! LoL!)
