No matter how nice we try to put things, there is no denying that life is a battle. Everyday is a struggle.
However, with every struggle is a blessing. We are blessed to be alive and given the chance to make changes everyday.
People say, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that.
Hi, My name is Nadrah and this is my story.
I'm a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a cousin, a friend, a wife and a mother but most of all, I will always be a little girl at heart.
This blog is about my life and how I try to live it to the fullest while keeping it well balanced.

Time Management

Now, what i understand about the difference between successful and underchievers is the ability to manage time wisely. To tell you the truth, i am very much struggling with time management (sebab tu lah i xsuccessful). Everyday is a constant battle because there is so much to do with so little time. I was raised to be morning person and strongly believe that more things can be done when you wake up early. After being a mother, no matter how i try to arrange my plans and priotize my things to do, it will always change because my number 1 priority is to this little person who is just getting to know the world and still think that the world revolves around her. She's only 1 year old so she gets away with it. Work requires me to be away from home for 12 hours so whenever I'm home, my daughter tends to get very clingy. I can only manage to do more with the help of my parents, parents in law, sister in law and some times sister. Even they have a life of their own so coming home late without a valid reason is a selfish thing to do. So, to my dear friends, i apologize for getting frustrated if you show up more than an hour late on our Sunday brunch sessions because we could only squeeze as much time in between errands.

Previously, while helping my husband with his lunchpacks, I would wake up as early as 4am in the morning and tend to fall asleep during my pump session. However, now that I've started my masters course, time in the pump room is shared with discussion and tutorial time.
Now that work has been piling up, i do not have the luxury to go to the gym during lunch time and my sleep has been a little disrupted because sometimes my brain is just too tired and wants to sleep but my little princess wants to play. I tried to squeeze in 20mins of Jilian Michaels FastTrack KickBoxing workout whever I can but I dont see any results as I am not consistent enough.

Sometimes I feel that im too tired but then again it is prolly because I'm not healthy enough and haven't been active for awhile. That's when i decided it is time to reevaluate my lifestyle and time management again. I'm sure that if others can do it, I can do it too. Wish me luck!

Toothbrush in VaJayJay

The picture above is literally a picture captured on my front view. I' ve this so called love hate relationship with Starbucks ever since knowing that they've been funding the war. However, they have then given out a statement that they no longer / not contributing. Not sure what's going on behind closed doors but i really love their Caramel Macchiato and the fact that I can have it decaffed! So whatever it is, please do not judge or condemn me for choosing to dine here.

FYI, i'm actually at Pantai Medical Center's Starbucks killing time while waiting for my appointment with Dr Idora for my long overdue annual papsmear. It was actually due on the 8th of November but I was away in Melbourne at that time. Events, Dr Idora taking a leave and waiting for a slot, here i am on the 29th December almost 2 months after my scheduled papsmear. If you are wondering what happens during papsmear, the Doctor will insert a small toothbrush (soft like cotton) like thingamajig into your hooha to lightly scrape some tissue from your cervix. This tissue will then be tested for cervical cancer.

If you are a woman, it is highly recommended to take both papsmear and mammogram annually. However, since i'm still nursing, i've only adopted to annual papsmear (you cant have a mammogram if you are breastfeeding). I really don't think that there is anything to be afraid of. Maybe it's because I've such a kind and softspoken obgyn to go to that I dont mind waiting for hours for. However, i do recall my mom asking my aunt to accompany her for tests. So, I would suggest that if you are scared, it would be cool to have your besties to schedule their appointments around the same time.

I've a number of family members who had to endure cancers. Some made it through and some didn't. If you are a single lady who is yet to be married, I would strongly suggest the HPV Vaccine shots. Ther's a total of 3 courses and you cannot get pregnant during that period of time and 6 months after. Remember that Prevention is better than Cure and Early Detection Saves Lives. Should God planned for to have cancer and passed on from it, it is good to know that you tried your best and fought hard till the end.
