No matter how nice we try to put things, there is no denying that life is a battle. Everyday is a struggle.
However, with every struggle is a blessing. We are blessed to be alive and given the chance to make changes everyday.
People say, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that.
Hi, My name is Nadrah and this is my story.
I'm a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a cousin, a friend, a wife and a mother but most of all, I will always be a little girl at heart.
This blog is about my life and how I try to live it to the fullest while keeping it well balanced.

Recognition from Joanna Lee or better known as Jo

It's always great to know that our work is valued. I just got a recognition from Jo who was my manager about like 2 years ago. I started my career life with her as my manager. She didn't really care much about the quantity but more of the quality of the work you deliver and taught me the value to the satisfaction when your effort is reflected in your work. Considering that I changed manager twice since I last reported to her, I was of course shocked to get a recognition e-mail from Recognition @HP.

Joanna Lee
 Check this out!

Congratulations Syaza Nadrah Hamzah!
You have been recognized in the Living Our Values FY13 program by Joanna Lee in the category of Achievement & Contribution . Here is what was said about you:

I know that this may come as a surprised but more than 1 year ago, Recognition@HP was not available. Therefore, I would like to take this chance to officially say 'Thank You' to you for all the contribution and effort rendered during the tough time of deployment last April 2012.
It was not easy and there was so much changes at that time.
Nonetheless, I would proudly say that we had provided extended support to ensure smooth transition for both internal and External Transition project team. Committed to support the client at the best performance till the end of Account contract with tough challenges and timeline set. We were still standing!!!
This could not have been possible without the AMAZING Teamwork and support given by everyone of you. You are AWESOME! And Thank you!
Hope our path crosses again in the near future to be able to work together again. Till then, all the best in your undertakings!

Eventhough there is monetary benefit what so ever, (I mean it is just to tell your current manager that you have done a great job some time more than a year ago) but it does give a little something to smile about. Thank you Jo for your kind words. May God bless you in everything you do. XoXo!

TWENTY THINGS A DAD SHOULD TELL HIS DAUGHTER

1) Pay attention to the way a man loves his mother. That is the way he will love you.

2) You can do anything a man can do, including organic chemistry, unclogging toilets and assembling IKEA furniture.

3) Older women wear makeup so THEY can look like YOU. Less is more. A lot less is a lot more.

4) People will judge you by the way you look. It isn’t fair, but it’s the way the world works. Keep that in mind as you pick your outfit in the morning.

5) Never let anyone do your thinking for you. There are far too many people with far too much invested in you believing what they believe.

6) Liberal arts grow your mind. Science and business keep you fed. You will need both.

7) Nothing is more attractive than intelligence.

8) Learn to drive a stick-shift.

9) Get comfortable with power tools.

10) You don’t have to enjoy them, but have a working knowledge of the rules for football and baseball.

11) Know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek, and they key players in both.

12) You don’t have to *DO* anything for someone to love you. The right person will cross a desert just for the chance to sit next to you at lunch.

13) Peer pressure is all about insecurity. Be confident in who you are and you’ll never have to “fit in”. People will come to you.

14) The fastest way to strain a relationship with a man is to bring up old drama. We can’t remember to hang up the bath towel. What makes you think we remember that stupid thing we did 6 months ago?

15) If a man genuinely loves you, he will let you set the boundaries. Don’t let anyone take something from you they can’t give back. You set the tone for the sexual relationship.

16) Feminine hygiene products — Where our daughters are concerned, we would be very happy sticking our fingers in our ears and saying “lalalalalalalala”. Please respect our need to pretend they, and the reason for them, do not exist. The same goes for lacy underthings.

17) You were flawless the day you were born. If you must go get that first tattoo, please consider inviting your daddy to come and get his first tattoo with you.

18) You are perfect the way you roll out of bed. Let’s be clear: all that crap you do to “get out the door” is for everyone else’s benefit.

19) Though he may be smiling on the outside, when you leave for college your father is falling apart on the inside. Don’t forget to call him that first night to tell him you love him.

20) Compare every single boy you ever meet to your daddy. Nobody will love you like he does.

Don't forget to share!

My very own Samwise "SAM" Gangee

Meet my new friend, Prakash Sam! Ok, so I renamed my plant. But seriously, who names their plant Prakash?!! Sam is a better name. Sam as in Samwise "SAM" Gangee, a hobbit with a "Green Thumb" and best part is he is a role model of how a best friend should be! So, Please say Hi to my friend, Sam!

"HI SAM!!!!!"

Heart made of Diamonds

When LiL Chica debuted her chubby cheeks and showed us her cheeky personality, we (Hubster and I) got really excited. How did she show her cheeky personality? LiL Chica will make all sorts of movements but when I look under my shirt (to see the surface of my tummy), she will stop. The moment I close my top again, she starts doing her lil thing. I guess she takes it for her parents who likes to tease and joke a lot. I've a colleague who at 31 weeks, had her baby at 1.6kg. My Lil Chica is already 1.4kg at 27 weeks. Kinda proud that my Lil Chica is a champion. So, boys out there, my lil princess may look as adorable as can be but don't you mess with her or she will kick your ass! However, being pregnant is really not all that easy especially nowadays that Lil Chica is filling up with all the goodness that makes her the utmost adorable little being in my tummy. There are so many sleepless nights, tailbone ache, sensitive tummy ache, heartburn, hunger games moments (moments when your body start to go to survivor mode because you are so hungry even when it has only been  5-10 minutes), dizziness to a point I feel sick that I puke (due to the heat and the shift of your gravity point), water retention and also the extra panting because of the new additional weight. Most days, I just want to stay in bed or just stay in the pool where the water will help with my additional weight. Thinking of how much fun I'm missing for not going out and enjoying that yummy piece of cake, how much I would love to spend the extra time grooming myself for a nice date with hubster, how I could only fit 1 skirt and 1 pair of pants (considering my expanding hip) does make me feel a little depressed. And honestly, it does make me upset when people tell me that I look fat. There's really nothing much I can do so if you don't have a resolution for me, I strongly believe that you should keep your comments to yourself. Yes, I do look like a manatee. I can barely fit into any of my clothes and considering it's just a few more months to go, I don't see a point buying new clothes. I'ld rather save for a new wardrobe post delivery. Last weekend, walking around KLCC, hubster asked me whether I wanted to splurge on anything. As I look at all of those pretty clothes, I could only reply that there really is no point of me buying clothes now even though deep down inside, my heart is longing for a piece of the Spring collection. Sigh! Sometimes, I do feel like giving up. If only my heart is made of diamonds so then I wouldn't be so weak. Then again, I'm only human kan?

We, Girls Dress Up for OURSELVES

A very long time ago, I used to go out with a guy who attempted to restrict me from dressing up when I go out. "Why do you need to look dress up? So that other guys will look at you?", he always asked me. To the contrary, it has absolutely nothing to do about a guy or any other guy. It didn't matter to me whether other guys are looking or not. We ladies are very much concerned of our vanity. It is within our nature to like pretty things. Hence, there is no denial that looking good makes us feel good as well. So, really it really is not about others, but more about ourselves. Don't get me wrong, what my husband thinks does matter to me. In fact, that gleam in his eyes when he looks at me after I put that little effort in dressing up makes me feel as if I'm on top of the world. But what Betsey Johnson said is true. We dress up for ourselves. The working out, waxing, IPL, working on our cellulite and stretch marks remedies is for our husbands. Facials, Hair maintenance and nail treatments (pedicure, manicure and parafin wax treatment) is for the both yourself and your partner. If you think that we ladies, do not have need and desires, think again. We are human too. LOL! Sigh! 9 months of pregnancy and 2 months of confinement. In total, that is 11 months (ALMOST A YEAR)! I didn't really think of dressing up that much during pregnancy due to my expanding size but HEY! I can still dream right? The more you can visualize your dream, the closer you are in making it come true. So, dream closet, here I come!
